PRESS RELEASE
WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY – GOVERNOR’S MESSAGE
World Blood Donor Day provides a unique opportunity to recall the noble deeds of the kind hearted people and to thank those who had donated their blood to save lives.
I am confident that the World Blood Donor Day – 2010 would raise global awareness on the need for safe blood and will sensitize the youth and motivate them on blood donation.
The Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch deserves commendation for conducting Voluntary Blood Donation Camps at various places to meet the increasing need for blood and for creating awareness among the youth on Blood Donation and to save precious life.
I am sure that a new generation of idealistic and motivated voluntary unpaid blood donors will form a pool that provides the safe blood available for use wherever and whenever it is needed to save life.
On the occasion of ‘World Blood Donor Day’ I appeal to the youth to come forward to donate blood regularly. Your act of benevolence would cater to the emergency requirements and would save many lives.
I convey my warm felicitations to The Chairman, the Office Bearers and the Members of the Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch and to all the blood donors on the World Blood Donors Day.
I wish Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch all success in its service to the society.
